The days of impunity by lottery operators are over as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is collaborating with the National Lottery Regulatory Commission to reform the sector.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says it will work with the regulatory commission shoulder to shoulder to reform the sector. Chairman of the EFCC, says the Commission will work to ensure sanity in the lottery sector.
He says the days of impunity are over while also urging all players in the sector to play by the rules. Speaking earlier, Director General of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, says the commission is desirous of ensuring a lottery sector that addresses the concerns of all stakeholders. For him government revenue which before now is lost due to the fact that calculating earnings was based on projections will be captured due to a new innovation by the commission.
