Workers in the Power Sector have called on the Federal Government to do more to address issues affecting the Labour Force in the Power Sector before the complete privatisation of the sector. The workers who decried the alleged forceful take-over of the former headquarters of the Ministry of Power by the Permanent Secretary say they will not relent until the issues are resolved.
The workers led by the General Secretary of the national union of electricity employees, say issues of Labour in the power sector needs to be addressed before the privatisation is completed. They say the entitlement of workers who are yet to get same should be paid before the takeover. For them the issues in the sector is one that requires negotiation by all involved not unilateral actions.
