Poverty is now been identified as one of the major causes of social vices in Nigeria today. Having nothing to do to earn a living, youth turn to armed robbery and other means of making a living even through crime. With a bill for an act to provide for the establishment of the national poverty eradication commission been considered in the red chamber, reducing poverty may well be underway as sponsored by Ibrahim Gobir from Sokoto East.
Successive governments have sought ways of attending to needs of the poor in Nigeria just seems to be on the increase.
