The United State of America has announced its readiness to support Nigeria in the ongoing war against Boko Haram Insurgency. Touring IDP camps in Yola the Adamawa state capital on a routine assessment, US ambassador Samanthan Power says the United States is ready to assist NIGERIA with everything required to continue in the fight against insurgency.
The U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations and some members of President Obama’s Cabinet are also on the tour. The fight against insurgency in Nigeria is intense and in a bid help win the war, the US is pledging its commitment to supporting Nigeria fight and defeat Boko Haram so as to enable the Internally Displaced Persons return back to their ancestral homes.
Part of the US Government’s plans include helping Nigeria in the process of resettling displaced persons back to the original homes of origin especially in the devastated North Eastern region.
