In an effort to beef up security on coastal waters, the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency is partnering with the Nigerian Navy in ensuring safe water ways for commercial trade. Director General Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Dakuku Peterside made this know at a courtesy visit to Naval Headquarters in Abuja.
Director General Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency says there is a need for joint operation with the military in order to fight against insurgency and piracy on the water ways. Adding that the collaboration is to ensure that the water ways is safe for commercial trade.
