Speaker House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has been holding closed door meetings with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa. The Speaker was driven into the forecourt of the President’s office at some minutes before 3pm. The meeting ended at about ten minutes past 3pm with details of the meeting are still unknown. Journalists were prevented from covering the visit by security operatives.
Meanwhile, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu says there was no instruction from either the Chief Security Officer or the Aide de Camp to President Buhari to that effect. Speculations are rife that issues surrounding the 2016 Appropriation Bill form the crux of the meeting. Reports had earlier in the week hinted that President Buhari will be meeting the leadership of the National Assembly in this week over the budget.
