The National Emergency Management Agency is calling on the Security Agencies in the country to find a lasting solution on the rising cases of Fulani herdsmen and farmers clashes before it becomes a national crisis. NEMA’s Director Risk Reduction, Al-Hassan Nuhu made the call when a delegation of Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria paid a courtesy visit to the Agency in Abuja.

Members of this Civil Group are here to partner with NEMA in the areas of addressing human rights issues in the country. But they are however worried that if the reported cases of Fulani herdsmen and farmers clashes are not urgently resolved, it may spell doom for the country.

The agency responsible for management of crises in the country is on the other hand calling security agencies to brace up to the challenges before it gets out of hand.
