Cultural festivals all over the nation will be elevated to a point where they can contribute meaningfully to National Development. This according to the Information and Culture Minister, Lia Mohammed will help in preserving the Nation’s rich cultural heritage. He made this known at the 2016 Puus Kaat festival in Mangu, Plateau state.
The Puus Kaat festival 2016 is the latest in the series of the festival which showcases the culture and heritage of the Mangus people in plateau state. The Minister in his speech to the gathering reiterates the determination of the federal government to elevate the Nations diverse cultural festivals to a level where they can contribute meaningfully to national development. The reason behind the drive to grow the sector according to the minister is its potential to generate thousands of jobs.
