A hungry man the saying goes is am angry man, so also a well fed nation is a productive one. All these are pointers to the fact that there is a serious need to have food security in any Nation. This importance is highlighted in a bill for an act to make provision for freedom from hunger and the right to adequate food of acceptance quality sponsored by Theodore Orji from Abia Central.
Members deliberating on the bill argued that food sufficiency should be uppermost in the mind of government if there must sustainable development in Nigeria. Nigerians have severally been accused of favouring foreign good including foods and this is been discountenanced on floor of the senate as the red chamber deliberate on the serious need to free Nigerians from hunger. The right to food is the right of every man observes the sponsor.
