The Federal Government is directing the military to immediately handle the clashes between Herdsmen and Farmers in the country. Chief of Defence Staff General Gabriel Olonisakin is giving this directive at the meeting between the military and the Miyati Allah group in Abuja. He says the recent happening between the Herdsmen and Local Community is source for serious concern.
The Chief of Defence Staff who was represented by the Director Admin reiterated the commitment of the military in conjunction with other Security Agencies to maintain peace and security in Nigeria. Assuring that, the military and the security agencies will ensure that no more lives are lost. He is however calling on stakeholders and all parties who are interested in peace to sheath their swords and ensure no unnecessary causality. Warning that the military will not tolerate any excuse from any armed group for causing violence on innocent Nigerian.
