Resident doctors will embark on a 5 day Nationwide Strike from Wednesday 11th May to Monday 16th May 2016. The President of National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), Adamu Askira discloses that despite the series of negotiation between officials of the Nigerian Medical Association and the Presidency, the Doctors will still have to go on the warning strike to press home their demand.
The President emphasized that, the five day warning strike starting from Wednesday will enable the Doctors to press home their demand for implementation of earlier agreements. The doctors condemn in strong terms the sacking of some of their members and non-payment of accrued arrears for doctors.
