The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has replaced his Commissioner for Works, Kevin Wachukwu with Harrison Bethel Iheanyichukwu. He also inaugurated the Caretaker Committee Chairmen for 17 out of 23 local government areas in the state. The Caretaker Committee Chairmen were screened by the State House of Assembly on Monday.
Wike, according to his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, declared that the New Works Commissioner must work hard to deliver on the new Rivers projects. He said: “I have a covenant with the Rivers people to deliver quality projects and no commissioner will drag me back.”
