Reactions have been trailing yesterday’s decision by the Federal Government to hike the price of fuel from Eighty Six Naira Fifty kobo to One Hundred and Forty Five naira. A group calling itself the united action for democracy is calling on the Federal Government to immediately reverse the pump price to its former price or face dire consequences from the Nigerians.
National Convener of the Group Baba Aye says the new price is totally anti people and one capable of institutionalising poverty in the country. This would not be the first time threats have been made over government policies especially as it relates to petroleum products.
The united action for democracy is again issuing a warning as they feel that Nigerians have had to bear the brunt of incessant fuel price increases over the years with its much ripple effects on the citizenry.
