The Federal Government is again advising Nigerian to deviate from self medication, and notify health experts when their body have averse reaction to drugs. Minister for Health, Isaac Adewole gave this advice at a media brief to launch a marathon relay exercise by Fadesola Adedayo who lost his brother due to averse drug reaction, also known as the Stephen Johnson syndrome.
The Minister disclosed that Stephen Johnson syndrome is a disease which many people are not conversant with. The disease is common among women and people living with HIV/AIDS and he’s advising all Nigerian to deviate from self medication.
