Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and Other Civil Society Groups are leading a demonstration in Lagos, true to their promise to embark on an indefinite strike to protest the recent removal of petrol subsidy. Members of organised labour begin the protest march from the NLC Head Office in Yaba, via the popular Ikorodu road with pockets of road blockages in other parts of Lagos metropolis.

Sights and sounds of members of Labour Unions representing a cross section of Nigerians yearning for a downward review in current pump price of petrol. Despite the injunction of the National Industrial Court to halt this protest and a 2-day NLC-TUC talks with the Federal Government that left a faction of Labour Leaders somewhat pleased and another faction disgruntled, Lagos chapter of labour says no going back until Government reverts.
