The Federal Government is urging youths in the country to pursue the study of Science and Mathematics to help enhance socio-economic and technological development of the nation. Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu who made the call at a forum in Abuja said science has contributed immensely to the progress of nations.
The Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu believes that the nation’s solution to scientific breakthrough lies on its youths embracing Science and Technology with great interest. He says time has come for the Nigerian youths to be fully equipped with the necessary scientific and technological knowledge and skills to make the country compete at the global stage.
Onu further appealed to the general public not to see science as a difficult subject but something which is indispensable in national development.
