All Progressive Congress National Leader, Bola Tinubu has appealed to the Nigerian Labour Congress to continue to dialogue with the Federal Government to resolve the agitation over new pump price of petrol. The APC National Leader was at the National Headquarters of the Nigerian Labour Congress with the Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola to in his words resolve a lingering issue of national development.
Tinubu who met with the leadership of the Ayuba Wabba led-NLC alongside Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Kabiru Marafa among others, advised the leadership of the union to ensure that the window of dialogue is open towards quick and smooth resolution of the disagreement. Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola also charges the leadership of the NLC to return to the negotiating table and to also accept the price increase in national interest.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, disclosed that Labour is ready to return to the negotiating table with the Federal Government but added that he will consult with NEC of the NLC before any final decision can be taken. He added that the Labour Union under his leadership will continue to dialogue with government in the best interest of the working class and a larger majority of Nigeria citizens.
