President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday approved the appointment of Mohammed Babandede as the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). Until his appointment, Babandede was a Deputy Comptroller General at the NIS Headquarters.
According to a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung, Babandele replaces Mr. Martin Abeshi, who retired from the NIS at the end of his tenure. The appointment took effect from May 15.
