Councils of the Niger Basin Authority meeting in Abuja is deliberating on integrated development and adaptation of climate change. The meeting is aimed at contributing to the strengthening of resilience to climate change for more than 30 million people living in the Niger Basin.
The overall objectives of the meeting, is to contribute to improving the resilience of ecosystem of the Niger River and the population through sustainable management of natural resources.
The round table also notes the commitment of development partners to supporting the implementation of the investment programme and 2016 – 2024 operational plan which include NBA’s climate resilience investment plan.
