IMMIGRATION SERVICE THREATENS TO ARREST FORMER OFFICIALS

Former Government officials and other former high ranking politicians in possession of diplomatic passports have been urged to return them or face the full wrath of the law. New comptroller general of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammed Babandede in his maiden press briefing also read out the riot act to officers and men of the immigration service involved in corrupt practices to desist or face the consequences.

The New Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, in his maiden press interaction since his confirmation is laying down the gauntlet to former officials of government and retired public servants still in possession of diplomatic passports to return them or face the consequences of their non compliance.

According to the Immigration Boss the decision is in line with the earlier publication by the service directing the affected persons to return the passports adding that they no longer have the right to carry those passports.
