The impunity and the illegality with which the Governor of Kogi state is implementing the State Budget without recourse to the National Assembly for legislative approval is raising dust in the House of Representative. The Lawmakers are saying that the action of the Governor of is an invitation to anarchy and should be given all the seriousness it deserves to discourage other states governors from following suit.
The motion came under matter of urgent public importance moved by Emeka Ujam representing Nkanu East Nkanu West Federal Constituency of Enugu State. He’s calling on the House as matter of urgency to look critically into the impunity of the Governor Yahaya Bello which he described as illegal and unconstitutional as the Governor is going ahead to implementing the Kogi State budget without the approval of the National Assembly.
