In fulfillment of the Federal Government’s drive to generate employment for Nigerians, the Central Bank of Nigeria has launched the Youth Entrepreneurship Development Programme to strategically deploy Nigerian Youthful resources for maximum economic development.
The Director, Development Finance Department of the CBN, Dr. Mudashiru Olaitan says, the programme is designed to tackle the challenges of youth unemployment in Nigeria. Following the opening of the application portal after its launch about two months ago, over 4,833 applicants have completed the application. The first phase of the pilot programme had 1,547 application selected after initial screening.
Director, Development Finance Department CBN says, the programme will unleash the latent entrepreneurial skills among the teeming youths as well as harness their energy and passion and groom them into leading entrepreneur in various field.
