The issue of Constituency Projects is one that has generated lots of debates from different quarters and it is on these basis that the National Assembly, the Conference of Speakers and the National Institute of Legislative Studies is putting together a one day summit to look conflict and try find ways of resolving it and come out with recommendations that will put the issue to rest.
It’s a gathering of major stakeholders and those who the importance and the role constituency or otherwise developmental zonal intervention projects play in the development of the country. This project are initiated and supervised by the legislators who are close to their constituents and therefore know what project or intervention that best suits them.
These are most often projects that come on a scale of preference as the legislators are held accountable by those they represent be it in the Federal, State or Local Government.
