2016: SENATE REDUCES BUHARI’S NDDC BUDGET BY N18.5B

The Senate has reduced the N260,064,000,000.00 2016 budget for the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari. The Senate however approved a total of N241,114,000,000.00 as the total budget for 2016, leaving a shortfall of N18,950,000,000.00.

According to the approved NDDC budget, the personnel Expenditure stands at N17,560,518,930.00; Overhead Expenditure is N9,980,000,000.00; Internal Capital Expenditure is N1,300,000,000.00 while Development Projects is N212,273,481,070.00.

The breakdown of the N260,064,000,000.00 submitted by President Buhari, puts Personnel Expenditure at N17,560,518,930.00; Overhead Expenditure is N9,980,000,000.00; Internal Capital Expenditure is N1,300,000,000.00 while Development Projects is N231,224,000,000.00.
