An Abuja High Court sitting in Jabi, Abuja has ordered the President of Senate, Bukola Saraki his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu and others who are accused of forging the standing Rule of the Senate 2015 to be remanded in Kuje prison pending the perfection of their bail conditions.
Justice Yusuf Halilu gave the order after bail application of the accused persons was argued by the counsel. The judge while delivering judgment on the bail application ordered the defendants to produce two sureties who have landed properties in the highbrow areas of Abuja namely Asokoro, Maitama and Wuse.
The matter has been adjourned till July 11 for further hearing.
