The ongoing trial involving Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu over forged Senate rules has been described as unfortunate by rights activists. The Executive and Legislative Arms of Government at the centre believed to be at war, is eliciting reactions from Nigerians.

The Executive, Legislative and Judiciary… three arms of government saddled with the responsibility of ensuring good governance, upholding the rule of law and ultimately functioning to serve citizens. They act as checks and balances to one another in a democratic setting, according to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

However, recent wrangling between these three, most recent being the forgery allegations against leaders of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu, is generating concerns.
