NIGERIA-UNESCO COMMENCES SECOND PHASE OF SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION POLICY

Science and Technology has been recognised as the key to the development of any nation and Nigeria has an enormous human and material resources which needs to move from a resource based to a knowledge based, innovation driven economy.

NIGERIA-UNESCO are collaborating in the first phase of a project which brought about the Science, Technology and Innovation policy in 2012 and with this collaboration for the second phase, the proposal is set to develop a wide endorsement and promote science research.

Minister for Science and Technology emphasize the need for diversification of Nigeria’s economy and commercialization of research findings from Science and Technology laboratories.
