Nigerian oil workers have postponed their proposed industrial strike until next Monday when negotiations are expected to open with the Federal Government. Leaders of the oil workers union say the action has been put on hold until the leadership of the union is able to meet with the government delegation to table their grievances.
That meeting was originally scheduled for Thursday, July 7 but has been shifted to Monday because of the three day public to celebrate the Moslem Eid El Fitri festival.
Ministers for Labour and that Petroleum will represent the Federal Government at the meeting expected to hold at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.
