The Nigerian Police Force has smashed an eleven man kidnap gang that was responsible for the abduction of the Sierra Leonean Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Major General Alfred Claude Nelson on June 30 2016. According to The Police Force Public Relations Officer, the criminal gang has been terrorising the Kaduna-Abuja expressway and other Northern Central States of Nigeria.
On July 2nd 2016, the Intelligence Response Team in the Office of the Police Inspector General carried out a tactical surveillance of the Abuja – Kaduna axis and all adjoining states which culminated in the arrest of the eleven man gang that has been terrorising road users.
