The gruesome murder of 42 years old Eunice Elisha who was hacked to death in the early hours of Saturday July 9th while preaching the gospel few meters away from her house in Kubwa has drawn scathing condemnation from members of the House of Representatives. The House, who resumed plenary after a two week recess, rose in union to condemn the dastardly act and enjoined the Police to as a matter of urgency.
They are calling on the Police as a matter of urgency put in place measures to forestall any form of breakdown of the peace in and around the Federal Capital Territory. The motion came under matter of urgent public importance by Hon. Gabriel Kolawole from Ondo state.
He says the incident has caused ethnic tension in the Federal Capital Territory because it is claimed that she was killed by some religious extremist, while others say miscreants were responsible for her murder.
