After threatening the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Shehu Malami with the withdrawal of his confirmation, the Minister has finally honoured the Senate Summons. He arrived the venue of the meeting with the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal even before members of the Committee.
He is facing committee right now. Below are some of the tweets from #SenateProbesAGF, The Attorney General of the Federation AGF, Mr. Abubakar Malami said that the forgery ‘issue before them is a criminal case against certain members of the Senate.’ And that the Police conducted its investigation on July 2015, and he was appointed in November 2015.
AGF states that the first case on the Forgery was a Federal High Court case initiated by Distinguished Senators. AGF states that the Senate Forgery case has a suit filed before Federal High Court before his appointment as AGF. AGF states that the issue before them is an act that pre-dates his appointment in office.
