The Senate says it will carry out a thorough investigation into the mismanagement of grants from global fund financial institutions. The Senate in a motion moved by Andy Uba from Anambra state is aware that despite huge amounts of money disbursed to the country to fight some diseases, the situation persists.
Nigeria through been a member of the several international donor organizations also gets grants to fund certain projects. But as observed by the Senate, most of these funds are mismanaged, some of the diseases like HIV, malaria and other killer diseases remain things to worry about in the country.
