Despite losing some of his key supporters to the Ahmed Makarfi led Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former Chairman Ali Modu Sheriff remained defiant as he insisted that he has not reached agreement with anybody to relinquish his position as Chairman of the Party.

Former Deputy National Chairman, Dr Cairo Ojuogboh who claimed he had the mandate of Senate Sheriff told journalists in Abuja Saturday that Sheriff has not concluded any process to allow him bequeath his position. It would be recalled that the PDP, had at its expanded national caucus meeting on Thursday in Abuja said that the presence of Sen. Buruji Kashamu, a strong supporter of Sheriff was an evidence that its reconciliation effort was making progress.

But Dr Cairo dismissed the assertion, saying that the cases in court would be pursued to their conclusions. He said: “I have the express permission of Sheriff to inform our teeming supporters and PDP faithful nation wide that he has not reach agreement with anybody, neither has he permitted anybody to conclude on any processes on his behalf.
