The Chairman of the National Salaries, income and wages commission, Mister Richard Egbule, has been speaking on some of the challenges confronting the Commission. Speaking in Abuja when members of the House of Representatives Committee on Governmental affairs called on him, the Chairman says the poor funding of the Commission is a major handicap faced by it.
The Chairman also wants a general review on the Act guiding the Pension Scheme and he says there are delay in the area of productivity in the the public service. The Chairman of National Salaries, Income And Wages Commission says the minimum wage is a tripartite issue which is where the commission comes in to ensure a balance between the public servants and the government through evaluation.
For the Chairman House Committee on Governmental affairs, He says although there is economic downturn with this present administration, Nigerians should learn to manage as they will ensure a cordial relationship with the commission for better days ahead.
