Doctors in Taraba State have decried the low doctor’s ratio to patients in hospitals in Taraba state. The Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association in Taraba, Dr Kenneth stated this at the beginning the 2016 Medical Week. He said the poor ratio may impact negatively on the abilities of Health Workers to deliver quality healthcare services.
Doctors in Taraba state have kick started their Annual General Meeting and scientific week with a focus on delivering quality health services at both the primary and tertiary levels in the state.
As part of the yearly event, free drugs and consultation are donated with the screening of common diseases such as hepatitis, diabetics and HIV test also conducted on patients.
