The need for an up to date policy governing the Transport Sector is again on the front burner with stakeholders in the sector urging the Federal Government to quickly call a meeting of all stakeholders and operators to fashion out a comprehensive policy that is in tune with current trends.
With various means of Transportation from roads, rail, air and by sea the nation boast of the ability to have an integrated mode of transportation that will be the envy of all but there-in lies the dilemma of a nation with a national transport policy that many see as outdated.
According to the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, the Nation needs a Transportation policy that is up to date and in tune with development trends in the industry.
