The Minister for Agriculture Audu Ogbe says for Cattle grazing to be possible in Nigeria, there’s a need to properly enlighten Herdsmen on safer ways to herd their cattle. The Minister was speaking at the launch of a book titled standardization and quality regulation in Africa. He says Nigerians should begin to embrace local products to better boost the nation’s economy.

Appealing to Nigerians to be calm, the Minister says the Herdsmen should be given more time to settle into government’s plans on the grazing reserves.

The need to make proper legislation on standard and quality control was emphasised as some of the speakers believe that product standards have been thrown away and with proper implementation, better quality products will flood the Nigerian commercial scene.
