PDP CRISIS: THE DAYS OF IMPUNITY ARE OVER- SHERIFF

The days of impunity in the Peoples Democratic Party are over and no such action will stand scrutiny in the Court of Law. Embattled National Chairman of the Party, Ali Modu Sheriff says the rule of Law will be guiding principle of his stewardship of the party while also urging the Caretaker Committee to stop acts of impunity since its actions and continued existence has been voided by the courts.

Barely 24 hours after a court judgement in the Federal Capital Territory validated him as the authentic National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, solidarity visits have started as is the norm in the nations’ political sphere. Embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu-Sheriff, while speaking to a group from the Katsina State Chapter of the party on solidarity visit to him in Abuja discloses his happiness at the validation of his Leadership of the party by the Courts.

While commending the nations’ judiciary for what he describes as its sagacity, he expresses his belief that this judgement signals that the days of impunity are over in the party. He adds that every stakeholder within the party must stay on the side of the rule of law and that the party must return to its original owners, the people. He also solicits the support of all stakeholders within the party to move it forward adding that he will move back into the National Headquarters of the party in a few days.
