The Acting Inspector – General of Police Ibrahim Idris has appealed to the youths across the country to always assist the men of the force with useful information that would enable them fight crimes and criminality. Idris made the appeal in Abuja during a solidarity rally organized by a coalition of Civil Society Organizations in support of the Nigerian Police.
It is a rally in support of the efforts of the Nigeria Police at curbing all forms of criminal activities in the country. The civil groups say the aim of the rally is to give moral support and to encourage the police to continue in their good work of protecting lives and property of the citizenry.
Armed with banners and fliers bearing inspirations such as Nigerian Police is my friend let’s support in fighting crime, the group marched from Unity Fountain through Federal Secretariat to Louis Edet House where they were welcomed by the Deputy Inspector General in charge of operations who represented the acting IGP.
