Former President Goodluck Jonathan has called on traditional rulers opinion leaders to assist ensure there is end in the bombing of oil installations in the Niger Delta. Ex-President Jonathan who stated this after a closed meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa maintains that development will be a mirage if there is no peace in the region.
Former President Jonathan was driven into the forecourt of President Buhari’s office at 2pm in Black Sports Utility Jeep with registration number Abuja KWL 86 CN. Coming of the President’s office after a 20 minutes closed door meeting with President Buhari, the immediate past President called on traditional rulers and leader of thoughts to speak up against the bombings of oil installations in the Niger delta region, saying that development will be impossible with peace in the oil rich region of the country.
Ex-President who hinted that was in the Villa to brief President Buhari on his appointment as leader of the AU election monitoring delegation to Zambia says the time is not ripe yet for him to speak ongoing anti corruption war of the current administration. This will be the third visit of ex-President Jonathan to the Aso Rock Villa since losing the last General Elections.
