A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the remand of Abiodun Agbele, an Aide to the Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose in Kuje Prison, pending when the court will deliver a ruling on his bail application. Justice Nnamdi Dimgba made the order after Agbele was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on 11- count charge bordering on money laundering.

Our Judiciary correspondent reports that the matter has been adjourned till August 4 for ruling on the bail application. After Agbele was arraigned for the alleged offences, he pleaded not guilty to all the charges preferred against him by the EFCC and his lawyer subsequently moved for his bail application.

The Defence Counsel urged the judge to grant his client bail in a liberal term, arguing that the charges are bailable.
