Independence Day special Juma’at prayer holds in Abuja

A special Juma’at prayer held in Abuja on Friday to mark the nation’s 59th Independence anniversary. The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Muhammadu Musa-Bello, represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the event, the News Agency of Nigeria has reported.

NAN adds that, among the dignitaries at the event were: the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar; Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar, and the Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, Ibrahim Shekarau.

Others are: Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko-Muhammad; and Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, among others. Earlier on Friday, Independence Day Special Juma’at Lecture had held in Abuja.
