The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates who sat for the 2019 Second Series. The examination which took place from August 29 to October 2, 2019, had a total of 94,884 candidates who sat for the examination.
Head of the Nigeria National Office WAEC, Mr. Olu Olanipekun, at a press briefing, gave a breakdown of candidates’ performances. He said that 91,225 candidates have their results fully processed and released while 3,659 candidates have a few of their subjects still being processed.
“The analysis of the statistics of the performance of candidates shows that out of the Ninety-Four Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-Four (94,884) candidates that sat the examination, 49,679 candidates representing 52.36% obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five (5) subjects (with or without English Language and/or Mathematics.
“33,304 candidates obtained credits and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects including English Language and Mathematics.”
