Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi has tested positive for COVID-19. The governor who confirmed his status on his Twitter handle said this was his third COVID-19 test.
He said, “I took my third COVID-19 test yesterday and it came back positive. I’m generally ok and I’m already self-isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team”.
While delegating critical tasks to his deputy, Governor Fayemi assured that he will continue routine duties from his home.
Fayemi’s statement comes barely one day after a former Deputy Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly and member representing Kagarko Constituency, Nuhu Shadalafiya, tested positive for the virus.
