Newly sworn in Executives expressed readiness to see Lagos for Lagos Vision of the team to fruition
The mass awareness of Team Jandor, a Lagos based sociopolitical group, has been described as the next biggest thing to happen in Lagos state. This was the view of the coordinator of Mushin Local Government, Mr. Orunsolu Modiu, during the inauguration of the local structures of Team Jandor held across the state.
Modiu said that “Lagos state grassroots politics have not been these deep, considering the options of taking everyone as important in the ‘Lagos for Lagos’ project.” “The awareness is not just felt on the media space but in our respective homes, which is making more people admire the Lead Visioner, Mr. Abdul – Azeez Olajide Adediran as a rare breed.” “For the past ten years, he has been doing one project or the other at Mushin, his place of birth, so as it is across the state with many beneficiaries recorded on the Team Jandor scholarship scheme, as well as, empowerment programmes amongst others,” he added.
Executive members inaugurated at Mushin Local Government were, the Coordinator; Orunsolu Modiu, assistant coordinator; Bello Ganiyat, Secretary; Alabi Rasaq, Women Leader; Usman Adeola, Youth Leader; Balogun Mutiu Adekunle, Director of Welfare; Micheal Adebayo and the director of mobilization; Chief (Mrs.) Omolara Diko. Those of Ikeja Local Government include: Coordinator; Alh.Tunji Shiyanbola, assistant coordinator; Hon. Olayiwola Moses, Secretary; Hon. Idowu Ayinke, Women Leader; Hon. Adesola Adeniyi, Youth Leader; Mr. Niyi Ilesanmi, Director of welfare; Mrs. Folake Badmus, Director of Mobilisation; Mr. Segun Olaiya.
Also inaugurated were executive members of Odi – Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA: the coordinator; Mr. Ajayi Oladele, Assistant Coordinator; Agbaje Shakir, Secretary; Bolaji Oguntola, Women Leader; Mrs. Esther Shokunbi, Youth Leader; Abiodun Awopeju, Director of Welfare; Esther Tumininu, Director of Mobilisation; Kabir Kosoko.
Earlier, the State Executive team led by the State Organizing Secretary, Mr Tajudeen Aremu, expressed their delight in the composition of the LGs/LCDA executives, showing commitment and wherewithal to win for the ‘Lagos for Lagos’ initiative. Aremu who represented Funke Ijayekunle said “we should collectively ‘wage war against poverty and not the poor’”.
“Today, with our gathering at this event, against many odds and with strict observance of the NCDC and the state government issued Covid-19 guidelines, I believe strongly that nothing could be more important to this team than the actualization of our Lagos for Lagos project which will be birth only when we deliver on the tasks that have been assigned to us, and we must not fail. From what I have seen us working on with renewed vigor on daily basis, I am confident that together, as state and LGA/LCDA executives, we will all continue to put in our best in leading the way to the Lagos of our dreams,” she added.
Other state executive members present include, the state Coordinator of Ndi-Igbo in Team Jandor, Chief Jonathan Nnaji, the Assistant State Publicity Secretary Mr Ayo Austin among others.
