72 stranded Nigerian ladies repatriated from Lebanon

72 Nigerian Ladies that were part of group of Nigerians stranded in Lebanon arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on a special Middle East Airlines flight on Sunday August 16, 2020 at 4pm.

In a statement by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ferdinand Nwonye, the repatriation was facilitated by the Embassy of Nigeria in Beirut, Lebanon in collaboration with the Lebanese Embassy in Abuja.

The highly elated ladies were received on arrival by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and after necessary documentation, were later handed over to officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and NAPTIP for the needed reintegration process.

The Ministry commended the Lebanese Community for offering to pay the air tickets of the stranded Nigerians, which attests to the positive relationship between Government and people of both Countries.
