Council of Obas in Alimosho declare total support for Jandor’s Governorship ambition

The euphoria that greeted the reception in honour of the Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor), has left no one in doubt that the ship that will reinvigorate the wheel of governance in Lagos is set to leave the dock, it is high time to get on board for those who are yet to key into the mission statement of the Movement. It was indeed a heroic welcome for Jandor as his presence for the Movement’s council meeting made a loud statement. The turnout laid credence to the truism that no regiment of army can stop an idea whose time has come.

To kick start the memorable visit, Jandor’s first port of call was the palace of Oba of Igando the Onigando of Igando land, Oba Gbadamosi Lasisi Orootan who was host to other prominent Obas in Alimosho LGA and in an ecstatic display of profound joy, the Oba did not mince words to declare total support for Jandor by reiterating unflinching support and declaring that it is time to put round peg in round hole. The monarch went further to pledge total support for Jandor as Governor. He spoke on behalf of other Obas that on the basis of the altruistic values of Jandor which has been demonstrated through empirical evidences, one term will surely deserve another. In his words, “we will be with you from the beginning to the end of the struggle towards the liberation and emancipation of the people of Lagos.”

The grand finale of the Lagos4Lagos Alimosho meeting took place in an open field at Centre Points College where all the major stakeholders were in attendance. The Alimosho leaders, under the leadership of Chief Taiwo Sangobiyi remains unequivocal on their mission to dominate the entire political space in the LGA.

Jandor was full of appreciation to the people of Alimosho for the warm reception he got starting from the custodian of the traditional institution where he declared that he is on a mission of no retreat or surrender. He promised to be the vehicle for the redemption of hope and better life for the people at the grassroots, including youths and women through various empowerments. He appealed to the stakeholders to consolidate their structures by meeting with known leaders in the LGA such as former deputy governor of Lagos State Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, Alhaji Abdulahi Enilolobo, Hon Jimoh Ajao, Hon. Oduntan, Hon. Prince Idris Balogun aka Oluomo Kafata, Abiodun Ejigbadero amongst others.

The Principal Coordinator of the movement Mr. Bode Makinde gave a resounding vote of thanks to the people of Alimosho and promised that the Movement won’t let them down. The Central coordinator of the Movement, Funke Ijayekunle concluded with a clear statement that we are indeed mobilising for progressive change.
