PENGASSAN begins protest over oil theft

Members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria on Thursday commenced a nationwide protest over crude oil theft.

At the Unity Fountain in Abuja it was observed that the oil workers carried banners with inscriptions such as ‘Chasing Oil Thieves And Vandals Out Of Business and ‘Oil Theft Is Illegal’.

PENGASSAN President, Festus Osifo, had on Wednesday hinted that oil workers all over the country would on Thursday protest the menace of oil theft and vandalism and thus threatened to withdraw their services should the government failed to take decisive action against oil thieves.
