The Senate has confirmed the appointment of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase as the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC).
The lawmakers took the decision after considering the report of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, which had approved the nomination of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, expressed optimism that the appointment will bring innovations to the police.
